Product Photography | 360 Degree Animation

Client: Martech UK Ltd, Dewsbury
Something a little bit different. I've been working on some 360 degree product animations for Martech recently using an Orbitvu turntable and software. It's all quite complicated and a steep learning curve but the results are fantastic. When these are eventually uploaded to the website, they will be interactive, so the viewer will be able to control the movement.
The tilting of the head is done with good old-fashioned stop-motion animation (just a tiny amount, for those of you who remember The Fast Show).

Commercial Photography | Video Production: Part 1 - Voiceover

Client: Gamma Illumination, Dewsbury

Earlier this year I spent a day taking photos at Keswick Reach Lodge Retreat in The Lake District for Gamma to use for a case study on their website and in their brochures etc. Last week, I was asked, along with Mark Pritchard and Tom Walters, to put together a quick promo video of the case study for use on social media. Tom wrote a script, Mark recorded Kate Timpson doing the voiceover (see below) and I put the whole thing together as a fairly simple kind of slideshow. Watch this space to see the results. This is the first time I've really got to grips with AfterEffects (OK, I know I should probably have used PremierePro) and we are all quite chuffed with the results, considering it's the first time we've tackled anything like this.

Bagden Hall Wedding | Lisa & Jeremy

Groom's Preparations: Connie's Cafe, Horbury & at home, Middletown, Wakefield
Ceremony & Reception: Bagden Hall, Scissett, Huddersfield, West Yorkshire

Second-shooting with Gav Harrison

Another early start after a very late finish yesterday but I felt surprisingly alert and ready to go. This was, of course helped considerably by the offer of another bacon sandwich, this time at Connie's Café in Horbury, while the lads tucked into their Trucker's Breakfasts.

Back at home, and it all started to get a bit hectic and, for some reason, everyone seemed to want to get ready on the landing, which was quite interesting. I couldn't stop laughing at one point when Jeremy's Dad asked "How do I look?" and one of the lads answered "Like Toad of Toad Hall."

Once again, the weather was kind to us (phew!) and we got all the group photos done without a problem.

Lisa & Jeremy left a small gift on the tables for each of the guests (over 18s only, of course) - a small bottle of home-made sloe gin. It was fun to watch different people's reactions as they tried it. Unfortunately for me, most of them liked it, so no screwed up faces to photograph. Ah well!

The evening reception was very entertaining, particularly when Lisa's hens (#henerife....) invaded the dance floor, waving their knickers around and wearing them on their heads. Must be a Wakefield thing...

Congratulations to Lisa and Jeremy and thank you for choosing us to photograph your special day.
